Instructions

Boil the Water

In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

Add the Herbs and Roots

Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat to low and add 1 tbsp each of the dried herbs.

Simmer

Simmer the herbal mixture gently for about 10-15 minutes. Be sure it doesn't come to a rolling boil.

Steep

After simmering, remove the pot from heat. Let the herbal mixture steep for an additional 10 minutes with the lid on.

Strain

Strain the tea into a teapot or cup, discarding the used herbs.

Sweeten

If desired, add a touch of honey for sweetness.

Notes

Licorice root should be used with caution and for short periods, as it may raise blood pressure in some individuals. If you have high blood pressure, consult a healthcare professional before using this tea.

Dosage

Drink 1 cup of this herbal tea blend 2-3 times a day, ideally 30 minutes before meals.
