Ingredients

- Cinnamon StickCinnamomum verum1 stickOr 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- Water1 cup
- Honey1 teaspoonOptional, for flavor
- Lemon0.25 pieceOptional, for flavor
Instructions
Boil the Water
Start by bringing 1 cup of water to a boil.
Add Cinnamon
If you're using a cinnamon stick, break it into a few smaller pieces and add it to the boiling water. If you're using ground cinnamon, you can add it directly to the water.
Simmer
Reduce the heat to low and let the cinnamon simmer in the water for about 10-15 minutes. This will help infuse the flavor of cinnamon into the water.
Strain
After simmering, remove the pot from the heat and strain the tea to remove any cinnamon pieces or ground cinnamon.
Serve
Pour the cinnamon tea into a cup. If desired, add a teaspoon of raw honey or a squeeze of lemon juice for extra flavor.
Notes
While cinnamon can be beneficial, excessive consumption may have adverse effects. Cinnamon contains a chemical called coumarin. Eating too much can cause liver damage, cancer, low blood sugar, or breathing problems.
Dosage
Adults shouldn't have more than one teaspoon of cinnamon per day.
